OSAKA – The fever of 9th Rugby World Cup is increasing day by day. On Saturday, the former Japanese PM Yoshiro Mori invited the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Rugby World Cup. The 2019 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to kick off September 20 in Tokyo.
Reacting to the invitation by former PM, Putin said he would give full consideration to, when the pair met in Osaka on the sidelines of the summit of the Group of 20 major economies.
The opener of Rugby World Cup 2019 is scheduled between Japan and Russia at Tokyo Stadium.
The former PM of Japan has been on good terms with Vladimir Putin. During 2000-2001, Mori had held talks with the Russian President while being the Japanese Prime Minister.
At the moment, Mori holds the top position of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics organizing committee.
